Well there's not much else to say here but 'yippee' because we have three healthy bonny girls from this wonderful pair.
This is Scrumpy's second litter and she's handling the whole process of mothering like a pro.
I guess you're wondering why we have such a small litter and that's pretty easy to explain. We used frozen semen from Cyrus as it was the easiest option - Cyrus lives hundreds of miles away from us. It is not unexpected to have smaller litters when it's not a natural mating. However these three have topped the scales as the biggest puppies ever born here at Lyonzred - something to do with having plenty of room to grow in-uteri and now that they have the milk bar all to themselves the rapid growth continues.
We do have a list of families hoping to add a Leonberger to their household
but would love to hear from you if wish to join the queue.
